This package enables the import and export of GeoJSON format in Rhino. The parsing of JSON is handled by the Newtonsoft JSON.NET library Attributes are written and read from ObjectUserData or UserString. During the export process, projection information is incorporated, utilizing a numeric EPSG ID for the projection. Export supports geometry type selection and attribute type evaluation.

How to install GeoJSON

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with GeoJSON selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for GeoJSON.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install GeoJSON
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install GeoJSON
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
