Supported imports: .spz and .ply (Gaussian splat files). Drag and drop Gaussian Splat files (.ply 3DGS/INRIA layout, .spz Niantic v1-v4) into Rhino 8 and see them rendered as real splats: anisotropic, alpha-blended, depth-sorted, with view-dependent spherical harmonics color, depth-tested against your model. Imports are auto-cropped to the main object (background and floaters removed) and leveled so the detected floor lies on the XY plane; double-click a splat to move or rotate the crop box. Object snaps work on the splat surface. Splats are selectable, transformable objects that persist in .3dm files (linked to the source file). Commands: SplatImport, SplatCrop, SplatLevel, SplatSettings, SplatToPointCloud, SplatInfo.

How to install GaussianSplat

Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with GaussianSplat selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for GaussianSplat.
Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
