Vector-based Graphic Static (VGS) introduced a generalized procedure for the construction of a 3D vector-based force diagram for any given 3D form diagram of a spatial network in static equilibrium. This tool allows for a quick and interactive exploration of possible equilibrium solutions in the early design phase.

How to install VGS_vector-based_graphic_statics

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with VGS_vector-based_graphic_statics selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for VGS_vector-based_graphic_statics.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install VGS_vector-based_graphic_statics
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install VGS_vector-based_graphic_statics
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
