Tripo for Rhino is an independent community adapter that brings Tripo's text-to-3D and image-to-3D generation workflow into Rhino 8. Generate models from a per-document Eto panel or optional Grasshopper components, and import the result as a native PBR block. An MCP server is included for agentic clients. Not an official Tripo or McNeel product; users bring their own Tripo API key (BYOK).

How to install tripo-rhino

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with tripo-rhino selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for tripo-rhino.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install tripo-rhino
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install tripo-rhino
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
