RhinoCommon + Grasshopper bridge for the rhino-mcp MCP server. Loads as a Rhino 8 plug-in and exposes a JSON-RPC listener over a platform-native transport (named pipe on Windows, Unix socket on macOS/Linux, optional TCP). The MCP server (separate process) auto- detects the bridge on startup. After install — connect Claude Desktop: 1. Type "_McpInstall" in the Rhino command line (recommended), OR 2. Manually edit claude_desktop_config.json — see https://github.com/easehee/rhino-mcp/blob/main/docs/en/installation.md Then restart Claude Desktop to load the rhino-mcp tools. If "uvx" or "python" is missing, "_McpInstall" will offer to install uv automatically (with confirmation).

How to install rhino-mcp
- Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with rhino-mcp selected, or run
_PackageManagerinside Rhino and search for rhino-mcp. - Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):Windows (PowerShell)
& "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install rhino-mcpmacOS (Terminal)"/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install rhino-mcp - Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.
Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
