Command Overlay by 3DBeast shows the current Rhino command and its matching icon directly in your viewport. Make modeling demonstrations, tutorials, screen recordings, and live presentations easier to follow. FEATURES - Clear command names and icons in a compact, rounded overlay. - Rhino 8 and Rhino 9 icon styles with light and dark options. - Six screen positions: top left, top center, top right, bottom left, bottom center, and bottom right. - Horizontal and vertical offsets with linked sliders and number inputs. - Show or hide icons, switch the overlay on or off, and choose how long a command stays visible. - Command-option and geometry-aware icon matching, including view and display-mode changes. - Stable placement and smooth icon/text transitions between commands. - Native Rhino settings window with saved preferences. - Automatic button insertion into an existing visible top toolbar when available, without adding a separate toolbar row. GETTING STARTED Install the package and restart Rhino. Run CommandOverlay to open settings, or left-click the blue command icon in your top toolbar. Right-click the icon to toggle the overlay. CommandOverlayOn, CommandOverlayOff, and CommandOverlayToggle are also available for shortcuts and macros. NEW IN 0.3.11 - Revised Mac icon rendering to address icons appearing above the overlay. - Larger Mac labels with an installed heavy-font fallback. - Mac-specific rendering changes checked locally on Windows; confirmation on macOS is still pending. COMPATIBILITY Requires Rhino 8.19 or newer using the modern .NET runtime. Tested on Windows in Rhino 8.35 and Rhino 9 WIP. The package is cross-platform; macOS runtime testing is pending. Toolbar integration may need adjustments as Rhino 9 WIP changes. Gotham Black is preferred when installed, with an installed heavy or bold font used as a fallback. No font is bundled.
