Assertive Possum is an integration testing / unit testing framework for Grasshopper. It lets plugin developers author test cases as native Grasshopper definitions, execute them against a Rhino.Compute instance, and collect structured pass/fail reports. Includes assertion components, a test runner, and report exporters (JUnit XML, TAP, JSON, Markdown).

How to install assertive-possum

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with assertive-possum selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for assertive-possum.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install assertive-possum
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install assertive-possum
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
