VolumeBuilder is a Rhino plugin for urban planners and architects to quickly generate 3D building volumes from 2D footprints. Select your linework or closed curves, then define the number of floors and their heights, VolumeBuilder will automatically extrude mass models for early-stage urban design, site planning, and volume studies.

How to install VolumeBuilder
- Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with VolumeBuilder selected, or run
_PackageManagerinside Rhino and search for VolumeBuilder. - Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):Windows (PowerShell)
& "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install VolumeBuildermacOS (Terminal)"/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install VolumeBuilder - Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.
Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
