Urbano is a new, easy-to-use, urban design tool that allows you to load urban data into Rhino. This enables you to build contextual models that can be used for site analysis and urban-scale simulations. With v2, Urbano supports terrain and allows you to build 3D site models with different data layers and sources.

How to install Urbano2

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with Urbano2 selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for Urbano2.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install Urbano2
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install Urbano2
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
