Two tools to create customised solar facades, from arbitrary designed surfaces or defined dimensions. Both tools have a graphical user interface and provides BIM data in User Text. Now even easier to use with simpler cell selection and schedule generator with csv export from the Panels from 3D tool.

How to install SolarLab_BIPV_Tools

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with SolarLab_BIPV_Tools selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for SolarLab_BIPV_Tools.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install SolarLab_BIPV_Tools
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install SolarLab_BIPV_Tools
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
