Adds a single new command to Rhino "DK_Save_Current". Saves the current open file to the desktop with YYMMDD_ prefix. If there is an active Grasshopper file open with the Rhino file it is also saved to the desktop with the file name.

How to install Save_Current

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with Save_Current selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for Save_Current.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 7 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 7\System\Yak.exe" install Save_Current
    macOS (Terminal)
    "/Applications/Rhino 7.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install Save_Current
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
