Vehicle access screening for Rhino 8, rigid and articulated. Drive a vehicle along a path or follow an existing curve, and get swept and clearance envelopes, wheel tracks and feasibility checks against the Danish Vejdirektoratet driving modes. Eight type-vehicle presets: PV, REN, LV 12, BUS 12, BUS 13,7, BUS 15, PVT and SVT. A trailer is placed from where the vehicle has been rather than from where it is, so it stays folded into the straight after a corner. Reversing steers the trailer rather than the tractor, and a semitrailer backs square onto a dock; the wheel can be turned at a standstill, which is what makes a three-point turn narrower than a U-turn. PV is reference-validated against the official koerekurver drawings. REN, LV 12, BUS 12 and BUS 13,7 are transcribed and corroborated against the legacy Vejdirektoratet curve library, which also corroborates the PVT lorry; neither trailer is corroborated, because neither combination reaches a steady turn on those sheets. Each preset records its own validation status, and no result is presented as certified AutoTURN output.

How to install RhinoRoad

  1. Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with RhinoRoad selected, or run _PackageManager inside Rhino and search for RhinoRoad.
  2. Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):
    Windows (PowerShell)
    & "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install RhinoRoad
  3. Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.

Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
