Cacomixtle is a Grasshopper plugin that automates the design and segmentation of molds for double-curved precast elements. Built in Python on RhinoCommon, it couples geometric analysis (curvature, continuity, developability, symmetry) with rule-based decisions to select a mold strategy-plug, sandwich, drawer, boxed counter-mold, waffle, and more-then generates the segmentation, ribs, flanges, draft-angle checks, and unrolling needed for fabrication.

How to install Cacomixtle
- Click Install in Rhino to open Rhino's Package Manager with Cacomixtle selected, or run
_PackageManagerinside Rhino and search for Cacomixtle. - Or install it from a terminal (assumes a default Rhino 8 installation):Windows (PowerShell)
& "C:\Program Files\Rhino 8\System\Yak.exe" install CacomixtlemacOS (Terminal)"/Applications/Rhino 8.app/Contents/Resources/bin/yak" install Cacomixtle - Or download the .yak file above and drag it onto an open Rhino window.
Restart Rhino once the install finishes.
